Magic of Christmas
by Kim Singdahlsen

The Holly Ring from the new holiday release is a fabulous die that can be used to create so many looks and it frames sentiments beautifully.  It’s been on the blog and there’s a sample in the store that use glitter paper and it’s wonderful! I decided I wanted to try a different look with warm woodgrain in the background and plaids as the leaves and berries.

Even with the plaid and woodgrain, I did want some shine so I cut the Holly Ring from gold foil from the Polished Foil pad.  And also some sparkle so first, I used some pink Fairy Jewels to add little accents to the berries. Then I used some golden gemstones from the Treasure Chest set to accent the circle.

The circle is sized perfectly for various sentiments. I love the sayings and the fonts in the Peaceful Christmas Greetings stamp set.  I think this particular sentiment works so well with the golden frame and the warm patterns and colors.

I am so happy with the look of this card. The Holly Ring is beautiful and so versatile. It can be fancy and glittery – or warm and rustic – and it leaves room for a beautiful sentiment!

  1. Hi Kim, I absolutely love this card, the die-cuts are beautiful with all the plaid paper inlays and I think this would be ideal for ‘batch-making’.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
