Colors of Autumn Challenge Reminder

by Jennifer Svare

Hello!  I  hope everyone is doing well and enjoying time in the craft room!  Just a little inspiration and reminder for the Colors of Autumn monthly challenge and your chance to win a gift certificate to the Poppystamps store!  Entering is easy- check out the link to the page here for all the details.

For my Colors card, I used one of my favorite fall dies from Poppystamps called Maple Symphony.  I die cut it out of a piece of 4″ x 5.25″ white cardstock, and used a craft knife to cut out the center lines.  This creates a fun color that will show through from behind (see the photo instructions below).

Next, I created the background out of a piece of 4.25″ x 5.5″ white card stock.  I randomly colored fall colors of Distress Oxide ink onto the background as shown below:

This could also be done with the Butterfly Symphony using spring colors!  Next, I colored the leaves that were left over from the die cutting with a purple and yellow Distress Oxide ink.  This part could be done in so many ways… how about foil cardstock?  Also, the background could be made of a single color… so many options here!  Simply glue all together, and attach to a card base.  Done!

Have a wonderful day!  I hope to see you over at the Challenge page with your entry and chance to win!

  1. Hi Jennifer, This is such a pretty card, gorgeous colours on the background and one of the prettiest die sets on top, the Maple Symphony, resulting in a truly beautiful card.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
