Peony Garden

Hi Friends! I hope you all are doing well. I am happy to be back sharing another card with you all.
I started my card by using the gorgeous Peony Garden Corner Stamp Set. I stamped it in VersaFine Black Ink onto Open Studio Watercolor Paper. I added clear embossing powder and used my heat gun to melt the powder.
Next, I added my color. I used Distress Ink in Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral, Worn Lipstick, Crushed Olive and Mowed Lawn. I pressed my ink cubes onto my craft mat and misted it with water. I then used a small piece of acetate to “pick up” the ink. Lastly, I smooshed the acetate down onto my card panel to transfer the color. Because I used a small piece of acetate I was able to control where the color went. Although I didn’t worry too much, as I wanted the color to go outside of the lines and look “uncontrolled”. Once my card was dry, I stamped my sentiment directly onto my card panel.

Hi Dana, Beautiful !! the peony stamp is so beautiful, and I love your technique with the small piece of acetate to transfer the colour from the mat to your stamping, a really lovely outcome and a really lovely technique. I have never tried this technique but I surely will be trying it. Thank you.

Such a wonderful card. Peony flowers were my mother’s favorite. She had 3 different colors all the plants were offsprings of my grandmother’s plants.
