Garden Variety Release Blog Blitz
by Candice Crawford

Hello Crafty Friends, Candice here sharing another new release product from the Garden Variety Blog Blitz. Today we are giving away a the new Leafy Garden Border die. See the details at the end of the blog post on how you can win.

Today’s card is clean and simple. To get started, die cut the Leafy Garden Border die from a piece of black cardstock. Be sure to place the die near the edge of the paper, leaving a bit of a border.

Next grab your Distress Oxide inks in Wild Honey, Ripe Persimmon and Dusty Concord. Sponge these inks onto a piece of white cardstock using an ink blending tool, starting with Wild Honey. Next sponge on the Ripe Persimmon Distress Oxide Ink making sure to smooth the transition of colors so there are no harsh lines between the two colors. Lastly, sponge on the Dusty Concord Distress Oxide Ink, ensuring a smooth transition blend with the Ripe Persimmon ink.

Now die cut the inked panel with the Stitch Rectangle Frames die. I use this die to create a stitched rectangle border on my cards. Next Reassemble the frame and center panel together. I apply a few pieces of scotch tape to the back of the paper when reassembling. Using a heat gun, dry your inked background panel. This should only take a few seconds to do.

Now rotate your panel 90 degrees and add the Leafy Garden Border to the bottom edge using some liquid glue. Next stamp the sentiment from the Memory Box Peony Garden Corner stamp set with Versamark ink. Apply white fine detail embossing power to the stamped sentiment and heat set it with your heat gun. Finally adhere your card front onto an A2 size card base.

And now the part you’ve been waiting for!  Your chance to win the Leafy Garden Border die!
