Hello Crafty Friends!

We are so happy that you have decided to drop on over to our Poppystamps blog today! We have a brand new release fresh from the garden, and we’re calling it “Garden Variety” and you can see it here at our store site.    We are celebrating with a big Blog Blitz to show you the new products and give you a chance to win some of them for yourself!

Today I am sharing a fun card to make with a very CAS vibe! I started with the Circle Fold Frame which is designed to create a card with multiple folding techniques and infinite design possibilities! It has these beautiful scored lines that lets you bend the card in a variety of ways.

I cut all the pieces of my Circle Fold Frame, my square card base piece, and 6 Lattice Small Curve Borders in a crisp white. The photo only shows 4, because I decided to add two more Lattices once I got rolling.

Then I put it all together. I absolutely LOVE the texture of all this lattice! Since I must wear latex gloves all day at work, having a pretty card to touch with a lot of great texture gives me a little smile for my soul! The idea for this card was inspired by a garden, a brand new garden with beautiful white lattices, and over time, the vines and roses bloom and grow, just like beautiful friendships.

I glued all the lattice on the different panels of the card. As you open each panel, the rose bush grows. If you open the panel half way, the rose bush grows from 1, 2, then 3 blooms.

The flowers are from our new release too, Village Rose and Background, and dark green Orchard Leaves. I finished it off with two Intricate Cut Butterflies.

To create the center of the card, I cut the Echo Blossoms out of pale pink, and stamped it with a sentiment from the Greeting Basics stamp set.

From the front, a pretty card with a heartfelt message.

Open the first half-panel, and see another vine, and another pretty bloom.

Open all the way and see the full lattice of flowers, blooming and brightening our days just like our most cherished friends, who we can turn to during our darkest days.
