Cherry Blossom Wreath
by Sue McRae

Welcome to another day of crafty goodness at Poppystamps! Sue here today with the amazing Cherry Blossom Stamp and Die Set.
The Cherry Blossom wreath is large, it measures just a smidge over 5.25" across and takes up a full card front. I really wanted this wreath to be the star of the card so I used the entire image.

I heat embossed the wreath in gold sparkle embossing powder on watercolour paper and used Zig Real Brush Markers in some vibrant shades for watercolouring.

I die cut the wreath and adhered it to a 5.25" striped blue paper from the Springtime Bouquet Stripes & Dots Paper Pad with foam squares.
I searched through my stash for a small and simple sentiment to stamp in the centre of the wreath.

Next I took the Holiday Mistletoe die and die cut it several times from vellum to tuck around the outside and inside of the wreath. This adds texture and more depth to the card. Remember to look through your holiday dies as they can be adapted for card designs all year long.

As my final step I adhered the wreath panel to a 5.5" white square card base.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today!

Hi Sue, A beautiful card, the cherry blossom wreath is indeed a large die set, and here you have showcased it beautifully, I also adore the vellum mistletoe die cuts tucked here and there, adding depth and texture, so very effective.
Stay safe, stay well.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
