Border Die, Easter, Spring, Thank You Card, Watercolor

Hello, my Poppy friends! How are you all doing? Staying well and safe I pray! Nancy here, and bringing some joy your way with our Spring Blog Blitz and giveaway! I’m showcasing a new die called, Adriana Tall Curved Border. Let’s take a look…

This lovely border die is as long as your A2 card, and can be used as an edge, but I’m going to show you something a bit different. I die cut it twice, and turned the pieces toward each other. You’ll notice I cut the bottom leaves off the two die cuts. Read on to see why.

I gave my card the look of an arbor above a fence. Keeping with the spring theme, I kept the colors soft and pastel. And the bottom leaves just reach the bottom of the fence. The sentiment in the center is smoky blue rather than black, adding to the softness.

The leaves are first wet with my paintbrush before adding color. I love how deeply impressed the leaves are, allowing the color to puddle a bit in the crevices. 

Detailing my card with a few more sprigs, some twine and some of the new glitter glue, and my cheery spring card is ready to send!
