Valentine Fun
by Dana Kirby

Good Morning Friends! It is Dana here again today sharing a set of Valentine's Day cards with you all.

I started my card by using the Grid Heart Frame Die. I ran it through my die cutting machine two times, once with white cardstock and once with glittered cardstock.

I then attached my Grid Heart Frame to my A2 card base and inlaid all the little hearts back into the frame with liquid glue.

Next, I cut a piece of white cardstock .75 inches wide and covered the third row of hearts. * I did this to allow my sentiment to stand out and not be distracted by the hearts showing through to my sentiment. I then used the Valentine's Fun stamp set and stamped my sentiment onto a piece of vellum. I wrapped this around my card panel and attached it to the back with a piece of tape.

I just love how I was able to create two cards with two passes through my die cutting machine.

I am loving this die! I can't wait to create a rainbow of inlaid hearts in my next card.

Thanks for joining me today. I will be back soon to share another project with you all.

  3. Hi Dana, Two lovely cards, a brilliant idea to use the ‘negative’ and the ‘positive’ on two separate cards, really lovely !!
Lots of love from Patricia xx

  4. I’m pretty sure the Grid Heart Frame is my favorite so I’m going to have to add that to my stash. Both cards are so striking, Dana, and great idea adding a white strip beneath the vellum. Oh, the details!
