Boo-Yah!
by Nancy Penir

Hello Poppy Friends! Thought I'd bring you some Halloween inspiration from the new release. Hope you're well on your way with your Halloween cards. This one goes to a special grandson in the Marines. He completed basic training and is currently in the infantry. I'm so proud of this young man, and sending him cards brings me joy, and I hope he gets a big smile from them!

A shaker is always fun to receive, and is really very easy. Here's how I did this one.

To create my spooky night sky, I covered my A2 sized card with Oxide Inks.

I'm sure you all know what happens when water hits the oxide inks. Just be sure to let it dry before the next step.

I used my metallic watercolor paints to flick drops of copper onto the panel.

I repeated the entire technique with a panel of yellow, orange and pink oxide inks. I die cut Surprise Skeleton 3 times. (Note: the die was cut 3 times before inking and adding droplets. I masked the 3 circles and added my sentiment, first stamped in black, then clear versa mark) The sequin mix will be confined to the 3 windows.

Surprise Skeleton is just too cute to be scary, don't you think? Hope you have a crafty week ahead, always the best kind!
