I hope you’re having a great day!  Have you noticed the Poppystamps Summer Release is in the store?   There’s lots of great new products including FOUR new Sidekick style dies like this one called Beautiful Butterflies!

I started this card with a distress ink background.   It was easy to create using three shades of Distress Ink (Spun Sugar, Iced Lemonade and Dried Marigold).  The new makeup brushes like mine from Amazon are amazing!  No more stencil brushes for me!   

I splattered the inked panel with water, some watered down in, and some white ink.  I trimmed the panel slightly smaller than my card base so the edges don’t peek out. 

I topped the inked panel with the new Beautiful Butterflies Sidekick Frame.   I stamped a sentiment from Blooming Greetings on the white cut out from the frame that I reserved.  To get the ombre inking on the sentiment I used a stamping tool.  I inked the top part of the die with pink and stamped, then I inked the bottom half of the stamp with orange and stamped. The places that were inked with both (the middle) created a third color.  I like how the sentiment mirrors the ombre inked background. 

The Beautiful Butterflies Sidekick Frame comes with a second die that cuts several size butterflies.  I cut some from scrap paper that I inked with distress ink and used them as embellishments around the sentiment.
