Hi there, Poppy Friends! How's your holiday stash coming along? No pressure, but it is sneaking up rather quickly!

Let's take a look at a quick and easy card to make with the new Mountain Hills Plate die, that's also a lot of fun!

Before I cut out my die, I inked it all with Distress Inks.

In this case I used oxide inks, so they'd react with spritzed water. Kinda like a snowy day.

Here's a side view to see 3 added layers of frame.

Before attaching my cut die parts, I pulled forward each of the trees, just a bit, and added 'snow' with Nuvo Glimmer.

Hope this gives you some ideas for your holiday cards or any cards using plate dies.

Happy Crafting!

  1. Hi Nancy, Wow !! I adore this card, the colours swathes are beautiful and I adore the way how the trees are partly loose, and it’s a brilliant way of adding ‘snow’, so very effective.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

  2. I really love how the oxide inks really blend so nicely. These are all beautiful cards. Thank you
