Shimmery Shaker
by Marybeth Lopez

Hello again! Marybeth here a with a shimmery shaker card using the new Poppystamps : Delicate Branch Collage along with Sending Scribbles Clear Stamp .

Below I have a few step by step pictures.

I covered up the branches using the negative of the die then lightly shaded the frame with a brush for a smoother look over the watercolor paper.

I watercolored the branches with a water pen and Zig pens, careful not to let the water run onto the sides of the frame.

Before taping fun foam to the back I adhered a piece of acetate to the back of the branches . Make sure your fun foam is at the very edge of the opening so the sequins don't fall to the bottom, where you won't see them. I filled the back up with sequins, placed my stamped back panel to the card then placed to my card base.

Not the prettiest picture above but you get the idea. The backside doesn't have to be perfect in fact I tape and cut the fun foam as needed. For me the Fun Foam seems to lay nicer than the foam tape. Your choice either one works.

I loaded this one up with lots of sequins , hope you like it!

Thank you for the visit.

  1. Hi Marybeth, I love this !! the texture on your inky frame is beautiful, and I absolutely adore the very pretty sequins. Shaker cards are one of my favourite types of card, along with scene cards, and this card is really beautiful.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
