Nested Dies Two Ways
by Rebecca Keppel

I love nested dies because they offer so many options, but I understand that they are expensive. So, I think it is always a bonus when you can come up with lots of out of the box ways to use these dies.

The NEW Stitchwork Frames dies are so fun because they create embossed stitch lines and tiny holes along the frame AND cut out the center shape as well. I used a couple of the circle dies to create a pattern on card panel and then layered up several of the squares and rotated the shape on the card front to create a diamond.

These techniques are especially fun when you have vibrant colors of cardstock to work with.

If you would like to see the creation of both cards check out this video:

Beautiful cards. So bright and cheerful.
Wow, you did an excellent job with these! Such lovely projects! I like to use nested dies for making little singular frames – like putting two different sizes of squares/circles/ovals etc together, and cutting at the same time. Or, using a few of the different sizes for dry embossing – looks fun!
Gorgeous card, love the citrus colours, Cathy x
Thanks so much for your video. Great way to use our nesting dies!
Your cards are TOTALLY FUN, Rebecca! LOVE the bright colors & just the difference those Stitched Dies make on a card like this!!! I am a little “die deficient” when it comes to using dies in different ways, so THANK YOU for showing us new ways to use them! 😉
Your cards are great! So far, I’ve used my stitched oval dies with the frame an one and the insert for another. Great to have the oval shape. At the moment, I have a good number of frames!
Yes, pricey. I’m hoping to invest in another set when there’s a sale! :>)
Magnificent!
Eye-catching!
Ultra fun for creator
& receiver! Well done!
Its a beautiful card♥
Simply amazing!
Fabulous cards!!! I don’t know that I ever have time to do all that could be done with my dies. But I do use nesting dies to make backgrounds, frames, to cut “windows”, to stack and depending on the shape to make decorative elements, etc. I do love my nesting dies!!!

Hi Rebecca, Gorgeous cards, I’m especially loving the ‘citrus’ colours, very uplifting.
I use lots of nested dies, and almost always use them for ‘frames’.
