Challenge Reminder: Masquerade
by Nancy Penir

Hello, Poppy Friends! Nancy here, reminding you there's a challenge going on and we'd love to see what you do.

Here's some inspiration for our theme this month, 'Masquerade'.

I just can't get enough of these adorable cats, in their Halloween costumes.

Everything for my card was stamped first and then die cut. The dies make it easy to align the images perfectly. A little washi tape holds the image in place while you run it through the die cut machine.

Here's where the masquerade magic happens. I die cut the Creepy Forest Collage out of vellum card stock and lightly sprayed the back with repositionable spray mount. Securing the die cut on black cardstock, I then sponge inked the window cut with my white ink.

I went especially heavy around the middle branch, creating a foggy moon.

Then I stamped the bats in black. The sentiment, also from Halloween Costume Cats, was white embossed. When I was happy with my placement of the costumed cats and pumpkins, they were glued down.

I hope you'll give the challenge a try. There's always gc for the winner, and we all love seeing your posts!

Happy crafting, and Happy Halloween!

  1. Nancy, quedo bella la tarjeta aquí en Venezuela no se celebra Hallowee, pero he visto muchas tarjetas hermosas que quiero celebrar. Gracias por compartir.

  2. Hi Nancy, I love this technique you have used on the black card. I adore this creepy collage die, and these cat cuties are gorgeous, I love them. I think the kitty at the top right of the card looks, to me, like a ‘vampire’ kitty haha.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
