Halloween, Shaker

Hello Everybody!

Welcome to the Poppystamps Halloween Blog Hop! We are bringing the spooky all week, and throwing in a few treats too just for you! Today I am sharing a spooky CAS shaker created with the brand new Witch Collage. Take a look!

I love this fun little die! The die itself is actually a circle, so you could make the base of your card any shape you’d like! I made mine super clean and simple in this little square shape.

I began this card by cutting and folding my card base out of a bright green. I then added a background panel piece of of watercolor paper stamped and spritzed with a few of my favorite Distress Oxide inks.

I used strips of very sticky foam tape to create a little well for my sequin mix. Thanks to some VERY helpful tips from a few Poppystamps fans, I sprinkled a nice coating of embossing powder all over the foam tape, shook off the excess, then heated it with my heat gun. It worked like a dream! The embossing powder created a little coating on the too sticky tape, allowing my sequins to slide and float with ease!

I adhered my witch collage panel onto the foam tape with glue, and added a few spooky green sequins. Originally, I had planned to add a few spooky little spiders swinging by, but decided I really like the look of this matte black silhouette witch with the shiny sequins behind her. What might you create?
