Happy Halloween
by Nancy Penir

Hello! And welcome to my post featuring Poppystamps newest… Halloween release! It couldn’t get more exciting around here, with the new stamps and dies. I get to feature the newest pumpkin set, Swirl Pumpkin and Harvest Pumpkin!

Oh how I love this time of year! Changes everywhere, from the weather, to the leaves on trees, fall is definitely in the air. Even the food we eat takes on a pumpkin spice flavor! (Lattes anyone?)

Pumpkin Swirl is everything Poppystamps is known for: perfectly sized and shaped with even the sweetest vine curled on top! And with it’s mate, Harvest Pumpkin, you can use just the silhouette or back it with contrast color.

Let’s look at how I made this card. I love to create a scene, and with a bit of drama for the Halloween season. Sponge inking a background came first, in colors that will let my pumpkins take center stage.

Now for a slightly spooky tree…

I created a stencil with Poppy’s Birch Tree die, sponging it with a ghostly gray,  and next made a frame from Poppy’s largest Pointed Oval Frames.

I cut the frame several times to pop it up, then added the sponge inked frame to the top of my stack.

All 3 pumpkins were cut with glitter paper, and the orange pumpkin popped up with foam. My greeting is also a new die, Happy Halloween Signs. You’re going to be seeing this set of sentiments a lot during the release. It’s beyond cute, with just a bit of  ‘Haunted Mansion’ flare to it!

Are you excited? You could win the set of your choice by leaving a comment on the different posts all week.

Good Luck, Happy Fall and happy creating!
