Beaded Daisy
by Sue McRae

Hello crafters! Sue here with a clean and simple card design today.

For my design I chose the Ragged Daisy die. There’s just something so charming about this sweet flower. I decided to cover the flower with micro beads for a fun and different look.

I attached double sided adhesive to red card stock, die cut the daisy parts and pressed the petals into multi-coloured micro beads and pressed the flower centre, stem and leaves into gold micro beads. I really like the texture that the beads give to the flower!

Since I wanted the focus to be on the pretty bloom, I went with a simple design and used the Heart Pattern Plate for my background.

For the sentiment I took the Happy Birthday Streamer and die cut it once from white card stock and once from red card stock. I adhered the white layer to the red layer so that the red colour would help to give a visual contrast between the white sentiment and white background.

To finish off my card, I adhered the white panel onto a red card base.

Thanks for visiting with me today and happy crafting!

  3. Gorgeous card! Did you use liquid glue or Stick It on your flower to hold the micro beads?

  4. So nice to see the “Happy Birthday Streamer” die used on a card. Just seeing it online when I’ve been shopping I thought it was much smaller. Now I”m adding it to my with list. I already own the Ragged Daisy and love it! 🙂
