Hi there! It’s Mona here today to share a mixed media style layout featuring a variety of fabulous products included in the New 2017 Spring Release along with a variety of other Poppystamps products as well as a photo of my sweet daughter Angie. This layout has a textured background that was created using the memory box Texture Chicken Wire stencil and is embellished with beautiful Poppystamps Stitched Bloom Trio flowers, Stitched Butterfly Trio butterflies, Freida Leaf foliage, a Festival Tag, a Garden Lantern and a Scribble Flower Circle:

Here’s a few step shots I took along the way:

To create the background, I started with a 12″ x 12″ piece of watercolor paper. I applied a coat of clear gesso, allowed to dry then to create lots of texture, I used texture paste along with the memory box Texture Chicken Wire Stencil:

Once dry, I applied a thin coat of white gesso:

After the gesso was dry, I randomly applied various colors of paint:

While the paints were drying, I created the embellishments. I applied Distress crackle paint to the die cut Garden Lantern. Once dry, I applied Distress Ink:

To create the flowers, I die cut several Stitched Bloom Trio flowers using watercolor paper then colorized with spray as shown below and paint (not shown):
