Happy Easter
by Sue McRae

Hi everyone, Sue here with an Easter card I created with a few of the new dies.

I started with a light blue card base and then die cut an oval from a darker blue card stock using the Memory Box Stitched Oval Layers. This way I could place my die cuts as I went along to see how they fit into the scene.

I die cut the Swaying Birch from white wood grain card stock that I inked along the edges with grey ink and a finger dauber, this helps to add some depth to the tree.

For the Easter eggs I die cut the Easter Egg Party from aqua, yellow and pink card stock and mixed up the paper piecing for some colour variation.

I adhered the eggs beneath the tree and added grass using the Easter Excitement die set.

Next I added the sentiment by curving it along the oval shape. To finish off this spring scene I die cut a couple of butterflies and a bird.

Thanks for visiting with me today!

  4. Very cute Easter scene! Great idea to use grey for the shadow on the tree, I will remember that and use it in the future!
The Easter eggs are pretty and I like the creative way you made them. The curved Easter sentiment is the perfect embellishment for this card. Butterflies are my favorite they add a 3d element, just that extra eye candy.
Thank you for sharing this inspiring card today.
