You’re A Star!
by Sue McRae

Welcome crafters, Sue here with a card today!

I have a hard time making cards for the guys or for teenagers. Feminine card just seem easier to create so I decided to put away the flowers dies and stamps and not let myself use any glitter or any pink or purple and this is what I came up with.

I started off with a piece of water color paper, sprayed it with water, sprinkled on Color Bursts and just let the pigment do its thing. While this was drying I die cut a bunch of stars from dark grey card stock using the Scribble Trio set. This die set has three fun shapes: a star, square and circle. I adhered the stars all over the dried background.

For the sentiment I took the Spectacular Happy Birthday set (which consists of three dies) and die cut the bottom layer in a medium grey, the middle layer in dark grey and the sentiment in white. The sentiment is made from 4 layers of the white card stock for a thick chipboard look.

To finish off I added a few small stars die cut with the Superstar Sash.

Thanks for visiting us today!

  1. Morning Sue, I never like to make cards for males, much prefer making girlie cards haha. You have done a fantastic card here, I love the background you have created, then the scribble stars look fantastic, and I’m loving the Spectacular Happy Birthday, great colours too.
    Enjoy your day.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
