Make A Wish Faeries!
by Jeanne Jachna

I hope you're enjoying our blog blitz!  I'm so excited to share more new dies with you today!   There's serious magic afoot with the new trio of Faeries!

I started with a watercolor background of purple and pink.  Start with the most concentrated paint toward the bottom and top and then just add water to make the colors bleed together and lighten in the center.   A splash of white transforms the flat wash into a dimensional background.

Want to meet the ladies one at a time?  This is the Posing Faerie.  Her arms are posed so you can place her around a flower, a star or even a few Butterfly Sprinkles.

This is the Dancing Faerie.  The wing is separate from the body so you can cut it from sparkly paper or add some vellum or glitter behind.  I kept this one simple so the colorful background could fill the openings in the wings.

And this is the Thoughtful Faerie!  She's enjoying all the wonder Mother Nature has to offer.

I double cut the Make A Wish sentiment from gold foil, and gold glitter paper.  It adds extra sparkle and helps define the letters.

This is the perfect card for the dreamer in your life!

Now for the part you've been waiting for!  Leave me a comment by January 25 for a chance to win YOUR CHOICE of ONE of these beautiful faeries!  Winners will be announced on January 28!

  23. Oh Jeanne, this card is so fun and stunning. Everything in life could use a few faeries.
A few days ago, when I first saw this, it took my breath away. Your use of color, especially with golds, just knocks me out every time. I’m going to try your watercolor technique of starting at the top and bottom, and working in. I bet it takes a while to produce your fabulous results. I’m also going to write in my art journal that gold on gold is just fabulous. Every time you do it, I want to try it as well. Maybe a note will help me remember, and this old dog will learn a new trick.
So glad life calmed down, and I had a chance to let you folks know how much I’m enjoying this release. It really is a great line-up of creations and dies!
