Ombre Bows
by Sue McRae

Hello crafters, Sue here! I'm happy you popped by today during this busy time of the year so I'll keep this short and sweet!

The Bow and String die was calling my name so I die cut them out of glitter card stock in shades of pinks and purples for an ombre effect and I die cut the Old Fashioned Merry Christmas from black glitter card stock.

I wanted to give the background a bit of texture so I used the Memory Box Winter Snowflakes stencil to emboss my card stock. Don't forget to use your stencils this way, you'll get a lot more use out of them.

I adhered all my die cuts to the card base and filled the backside of the bows with silver glitter card stock and felt it need one more thing so I took the Fluffy Bow and die cut if from silver glitter card stock but used on the square centre pieces from this bow to add to the centres of the Bow & String die cuts and now I felt the card was complete.

As this is my last post before Christmas, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

  1. Morning Sue, A Merry Christmas to you too.
This ombre card is lovely, I love the sparkle and the graduated colour theme. I keep forgetting that we can emboss with our stencils, thank you for the reminder.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
