Velvet Blossoms

Hi, Sue here with a colourful card featuring the Velvet Blossom flower.

The Velvet Blossom set contains two flower heads and I chose to use the smaller one. I die cut the petals out of watercolour paper and inked them up with Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry and Festive Berries and sprayed it with Perfect Pearls.  I cut apart the Massa Leaf Background and strategically placed them around the blooms. The leaves were coloured with Mowed Lawn Distress Ink and sprayed with Perfect Pearls.

This is my first time using the delicate Woodland Heart Frame. Isn't it pretty? It was also cut from watercolour paper and inked randomly with Mermaid Lagoon and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks and sprayed once again with Perfect Pearls. Love how this turned out.

The background was created with shimmer sprays and I added the Memory Box sentiment, perfect for a heart-felt card for a special someone.

Thank you for dropping by today and make sure to check out our July Monthly Challege, A Day In the Park. All the details are here.

Also we have a two week blog blitz starting on Monday the 13th. We'll be showcasing the new release which includes Christmas goodies!

Have a great weekend!
