Amy Tsuruta from Tsuruta Designs organized another amazing blog hop for all you Coffee Lovers out there!  She's asking folks to play along making projects inspired by their favorite drinks.  It doesn't have to be coffee!  My personal favorite is iced tea – but on a cold winter day I won't complain if you serve it to me steaming hot!  

Amy wants us all to "think spring" so I made my design in soft pastels!  I started with a white card stock base.  I topped that with a slightly smaller light blue cardstock panel.  Next I trimmed two panels – mint and pink, taped them together on the reverse side,  and die cut the stacked teapot die.  

I  inlayed all the colored pieces inside the teapots.  After deciding it looked too "flat" I cut the teapot die 4 more times from white card stock and adhered them one on top of the other to add some dimension.  I used a Sakura Quickie Glue Pen to get those little small edges glued down flat. 

The "hello sentiment is cut from the Hello Word Balloon Die.   All that was left was the frosting on the cake – a sprinkle of sequins and a bit of gold washi.
