Sailing In To Say Hello
I fell in love with the Marina Sailboats. When I received them, I was thrilled because I'd looked at the boats, but never paid attention to the two types of waves. As you can see from the photo, they are the perfect touch. So, here's what I did……
I used a stencil spray on the back side of the Textured Shine stencil. When the spray dried, I placed the stencil over the blue card stock. I used a translucent embossing paste and applied it using a spatula. I lifted the stencil and immediately washed the embossing paste from it. Trust me, you don't want to leave it sit on the stencil. I could have left well enough alone, but I poured a very pale yellow glitter over the embossing paste. I poured the extra glitter back into the bottle. And allowed the paste time to harden as it dried.
Next I die cut the sail boats, hello and of course the waves.
I cut the Sailboats in brown and white and then trimmed and assembled as shown. Want to see the inside after assembly? I thought so! Well, here it is…..
I like cards made ahead with no sentiment. Then when I need something all I need to do is add the appropriate sentiment and I'm done. I need a Hello card to send to a cousin. Next time, it just might be Happy Birthday….
