Delicate Mum

It's still winter here in the Midwest!  That means I'm spending lots of time indoors.  My favorite escape is creating with hot colors and cultivating my own flower garden indoors.   I can't tell you how much I love this latest release from Poppystamps!  There's so many beautiful dies to work with!!  I could almost forget the cold! LOL!

The flower on my project is called "Delicate Mum" and this technique is fun and  easy.  I started with a light orange panel of card stock.  I  cut two of the delicate mums from the panel.  Removable tape will hold the die in place as you run it through your die cut machine.   Next I cut two flowers from darker orange cardstock and inserted them into the light orange card stock panel securing the stems with tape.  I layered this over a panel of golden yellow so it would peek through the openings.

The end result is lots of bright bold color!  The gold sentiment is from the new Thanks Word Balloon.  I just snipped the sentiment from the inside.

We're doing something a little different today!  The prize we've selected is from Birch Press Design – Dave Brethauers' s newest venture.   Dave is the creator of Memory Box and Poppystamps.  Birch Press Design is a fabulous market place for fresh letterpress cards, unique kitchen supplies and home decor.    They've just added  delicious organic, fair for life CHOCOLATE!!! in lots of yummy varieties!!  The winner of today's post will receive a Theo Chocolate My Cherry Baby chocolate bar!  Just leave a comment by January 31 for your chance to win!

Have a wonderful day and Good Luck!!
