Wishing You A Very Merry Christmas

My very favorite cards to make are Christmas.  I make my first card shortly after Christmas and continue throughout the year.  I post them as I create, so if you want to see some of my past cards, visit my blog

Now on to this card.  I wanted to make something special to celebrate the 7th Anniversary of my local paper crafting shop.  Karen has a big 2 day crop not only to celebrate her anniversary, but also to celebrate World Cardmaking Day.  I will be kicking off the celebration by teaching this technique at her boutique on October 5th and October 9th.  This card is really easy to create and the base can be used for an infinite number of card occasions.

I want to thank Dave for letting me share Paradise Scrapbook Boutique's celebration during Poppystamps big celebration.  Karen started planning her big anniversary in early August.  When she asked if I'd like to create a card to celebrate World Cardmaking Day, I was thrilled.  The new Poppystamps dies and cling stamps were not yet released, but not to worry, I am using my very favorite collection of Poppystamps and Memory Box dies.  I must say, this is my favorite Christmas card for 2012!  If you live in the Chico CA area, and would like to join in this celebration.  Contact Karen at Paradise Scrapbook Boutique.  But hurry, the Anniversary crop, and two classes are filling up quickly.

When you open the card this is what you see…..

If you enlarge the photo, you can see more detail on how the dies were layered.

Do you think I'm addicted to Poppystamps and Memory Box?  I just can't help myself.  The cost is an important reason, but more important,  they are beautiful and the cut is  clean, even on a delicate dies.  Want another reason?  Ok, the dies are very detailed, they emboss beautifully.  I guess you could say…..I just love them!

I hope you like my creation and I hope it inspires you to start making Christmas Cards.

Until next time….Hugs and Happy Creating,
