Fawn in Forest

It's day two of the Poppystamps Release Blitz! I'm delighted to share my card as part of the celebration.

There's a whole set of forest trees (Fremont Pine) in the new release that "play well together." As I'm surrounded by evergreen here in the Pacific Northwest, and deer as well, I couldn't resist combining tree die cuts with the cute fawn in traditional holiday colors! I finished the card off with one of the new sentiment cling stamps in the release. I think this would be a fun card to send for the holidays or anytime in the fall and winter months.

As part of the Release Blitz, I'm giving away the Woodland Fawn die! Comment for a chance to win – winners will be announced on September 23.

  1. Oh my gosh Jean, this is an adorable card! It reminds me of our old home where we had deer in our front yard. Will never forget one Xmas morning when my stepson who was only seven years old at the time, sat on the floor and quietly watched deer feeding in the yard. It was so peaceful and beautiful. What a precious moment that was!

  13. After today’s rain, I’m hoping for more green to go with the evergreens! I like deer on cards, not in my yard. They have been known to bed down under the cherry tree for an afternoon nap, eat too much of the garden, clean the fruit trees, go away for a few hours and then return to spend the night. Much cuter on cards where they stay and leave my garden alone. :)Love the red scarf on your deer.

  14. Very modern looking card. I think that’s my missing scarf! Thanks for sharing. Blessings, Lisa
